Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies — and how you stay in control.
This policy explains how Maccs Digital uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They make sites work, remember your preferences, and collect information about how a site is used. Similar technologies such as pixels and tracking scripts work in a comparable way.
Your control over cookies
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them; everything else only runs if you opt in.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking — withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. When you withdraw consent for a category, we stop the relevant cookies running and remove cookies already set in that category. Your choice is remembered for up to six months, after which we ask again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
The cookies we use
Necessary (always on)
Required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choices. They don’t track you and can’t be switched off. This includes the cookie storing your consent preferences.
Analytics (optional)
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data, so it runs without consent. If we add cookie-based analytics in future, it will sit in this category and only run with your consent.
Marketing (optional, consent required)
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — measures advertising effectiveness and helps reach relevant audiences. Sets cookies such as
_fbpand may use_fbc. Managed via Google Tag Manager and only activated after you opt in. - Brevo — our marketing and CRM platform. When enabled, it helps us recognise return visits and tailor our communications. Operates only after you opt in.
Reject these, or withdraw consent later, and they will not run and their cookies will be removed.
How we manage consent
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with Google Tag Manager. Before you choose, all non-essential storage is denied by default — nothing tracking-related runs until you actively opt in. Your selection updates these settings in real time, so we never load marketing or tracking technologies without your agreement.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties when you consent to marketing. These providers process data under their own privacy policies:
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the technologies we use change. Updates will appear here with a revised date.
